Dear Shameeka,

I want to publicly give you your flowers. <3

This was more than just a poetry showcase, this was you walking out on faith. This was you trusting God blindly without knowing how it would turn out and It’s safe to say it was GREAT !!! lol

I am forever grateful for this opportunity. I’ll never forget my reaction after you told me the theme lol. I was like oh yeah this one is one of them ones lol.

My highlight(s):

Our phone conversation before the event.

Elle singing…GIRL lol She brought tears to my eyes. She really ministered to my spirit.

The energy in the room overall was it for me.

Performing Bite the Truth, Not the Fruit because I allowed myself to cry in front of my mom. That was my 2nd time performing that piece in front of her. The first time I performed it, I held back because I knew she would cry but this time around, I gave myself permission to feel every emotion.

The story your mom and sister shared about you. I loved how much life they continue to speak life into you as you continue to chase your dreams.

Everyone who performed truly ministered to my spirit.

Overall, I am proud of you. I am honored to know you and If I’m no longer here, I want you remember that “You can’t turn a blind eye to the i’s in your testimony.” Continue to let God guide you cause just like Nip said, “It’s not on you, it’s in you and what’s in you they can’t take away.”

Every tear shed, is always worth it & every spoken word given, always serves a purpose.
